Spider veins
Spider veins are smaller versions of varicose veins and are smaller, red and blue blood vessels that are visible on the surface of the skin. Its appearance resembles a spider web or tree branches. They usually appear on the legs and face.

The most common causes of stretch marks are:
Pregnancy: Stretch marks affect 90% of women during their pregnancy, especially in the subumbilical or periumbilical region after childbirth.
Rapid growth: Pubertal development can cause stretch marks on the skin due to rapid development. The skin distention that occurs also affects men during adolescence.
Sudden changes in weight: The increase or decrease in weight leads to a distention of the skin, causes stretch marks, both in men and women.
Corticosteroids: Elevated in diseases such as Cushing's Syndrome or due to the treatment of inflammatory or autoimmune diseases. Corticosteroids induce skin atrophy and degeneration, which produces stretch marks.
TYPES
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TYPES OF RED AND WHITE STRIPES?
Stretch marks can be red or white:
Red (recent) stretch marks: Red stretch marks are linear areas of thin skin with red or purplish coloration, slightly raised. This aspect, which lasts between 6 and 10 months, can be accompanied by localized itching.
White stretch marks (mature): White stretch marks appear over time as white linear areas, their external appearance is thin and slightly depressed skin.
